CENTRE
In 2008, the number 1 has flown to the centre of the chart,thus emitting victory and success for all who resides here.As this is an auspicious number,you must activate it with the corresponding nurturing element in order to benefit from this energy .

The number 2, in feng shui is a taboo number as it signifies illness! The illness star resides in the Northwest in 2008. The Nortwest sector in a home represents the Patriach,thus in 2008 pay extra attention to the health of your moth, (man of the house!). The metal energy subdues the illness star, so get those metallic decors and windchimes out of the closet! A word of caution,only use a metal chime with 6 hollow rods. Personally,I have four,6 rod chimes hanging in my kids room!Hmmmm,kiasu or what!
Surpress: Use round metal decors, use 6 rod chimes.Lots of metal energy !!!
WEST
Next,the quarrelsome number 3, has flown to the west.Now,you must be wary of this notorious number which can cause havoc in a relationship . It brings lawsuits and quarrelsome energy with it.If the living hall or the bedroom is in the west,you can expect major misunderstandings with family and friends this year. So how to suppress it?
Suppress: The red and gold colour combination works fine here,any decor with this theme is fine. A rug, a wall painting,the famous mandala, cushions,curtains ,just get creative! It’s fun. Alternatively, you can shine a bright light here,red light to control the number 3.
NORTHEAST
The Northeast, has the sexy star residing here this year.The number 4 is also referred to as the sexy star and sholastic number. The Northeast sector, represents the youngest son, young men in general residing in this sector will be open to many romantic oppurtunities! Good news for many I suppose, make sure your husband doesnt sleep here ,though! Now, as this is also the scholastic star,it is therefore,beneficial to activate this star. You decide if its romance you need to activate in your life or if its the scholasctic luck.
ACTIVATE: For romantic oppurtuinites,to come flooding your way, place the rose quartz crystal here,in harmony with the earth sector here. The Grand Duke of Tai Sui,who is revered by the chinese as the God of the Year, resides in North this year. The Tai Sui does not like to be confronted;so just make sure you do not sit facing the North in 2008,even if its one of your lucky directions based on the 8 mansions formula. Simply put;face South and have North behind you in 2008! Do not eat,sit and work facing the North this year. You should not disturb this sector of the house with noise and renovations.

Number 7 has flown to the Southwest ,the matriach’s sector in a home. In period 8 (February 4th 2004 to February 4th 2024), the number 7 has turned violent and nasty.The presence of this number in the chart signifies robbery and violence! Thus, the Southwest is where the robbery star resides in 2008. Based on a few case studies, I’ve seen cases of houses being robbed and the entrance and exit point being where the number 7 was residing for that year!
Recently,another robbed house with the entrance point for the robbers being the southwest! The Southwest represents the Matriach and thus ladies if you are sleeping in a southwest bedroom ,beware of severe backstabbing,from relatives and colleagues. Be wary of snatch thieves ! If you have a door or window here,double protection is required!
SUPPRESS:
The colour blue could be incorporated in your decor this year,more blue theme in the Southwest. Throw in a blue rug,pillows,curtains, and bedsheets. Plants with sharp,spiky ends are also recommended ,as it is believed that these sharp end sends tiny poison arrows. Aloe Vera is my favourite. Place these potted plants outside,near the kitchen door, or at the main entrance, and balconies; always outside the home to ward off intruders.

The most auspicious sector for this year would be the East ,as the auspicious number 8 has flown here. It signifies wealth has arrived,therefore,activate this area with moving water features and wealth symbols. As the East reperesents the eldest son ,they benefit the most . There is much happiness and career luck for all those with their main door facing the East .
ENHANCE:
Activate with a 6 tier water feature here for wealth luck. 8 is a earth number,thus,placing crystals in the East of the house would be beneficial.
SOUTHEAST
The number 9 is in the Southeast,signifying future prosperity. It brings prosperity,promotion in career or business and many happy events. This would be the ideal place for the children to study for exams !
ENHANCE:
Have plenty of lights here in 2008,bright red ! Alternatively, you could have candles and fresh flowering plants here.
