I will be answering A.V. Reddy’s and Novinthen’s questions on Buddha, the immensely popular and loved image worldwide!
You can see him in everywhere corner of the world; an image that is synonym with peace , abundance and happiness.
The laughing Buddha, also referred to as the Buddha of wealth, can be seen in most Chinese restaurants, I wonder why only in restaurants and not in offices. Surprisingly, during my visit to India in 2004, I was truly thrilled and amazed to see our dear Laughing Buddha being displayed in most restaurants and textile shops.
He is usually seen, carrying a huge bag,which some of us interpret as being be filled with gold ingots , thus the reason for displaying the deity as the wealth energizer . But to some of us, having the Deity in our homes, promises a home filled with abundance and happiness . It is believed that , the Buddha stores your sorrows and woes in his huge belly, thus, the bigger the belly, the better!
Placing the Buddha in an appropriate position helps aid its good energy manifestation.
The Buddha at Home.
Place the deity in the living room, dining or study, to invite abundance and joy into your home.
His infectious smile, will surely win your heart.
You could choose to place the Buddha:
a. as the central decor piece in your living room,
b. in your dining room
c. in your study,
d. on your work table.

Most restaurant owners would display the Buddha near the cash machine.
Secret Tip:
It is believed , stroking the deity’s belly, daily makes him happy and contented.
